Profile
I have 30+ years in the technology field to offer
Technology is my passion and love the fact that it is ever-changing. I understand that to remain competitive, I need always to keep my eyes and ears open for any new learning opportunities.
I take pride in my ability to learn new technologies quickly, and I never back down from a challenging task or project.
I am an independent worker that understands that every single task is critical to the fluid operation of all systems and deserves nothing but 100% dedication. I know what needs to be done, and I can be counted on to get the task done promptly and on time.
Introduction
For 30 years, I have been playing with everything technology from software to hardware. I have experience with most operating systems, including all MS Windows desktops from 3.1 to 10, Windows Server from 3.11 through NT to Server 2018. Linux distros like Redhat, Ubuntu, Debian Fedora, and recently Linux Mint, including Ubuntu Server. I learned BASIC on an Apple IIc and Commodore 64 in 1984-85 and got to play with a brand-new Macintosh. I have been working with Apple iOS and Android operating systems from the very beginning.
My skills run the gambit from Software Development and System Administration to Student Laborer and Computer Repair Shop owner. I have fixed almost every imaginable computer-related problem out there and looking forward to finding issues I've never seen before.
I have also worked with most brands of networking hardware, including but not limited to; Cisco, Juniper Networks, Netgear, Linksys, SonicWall, Motorola, Zyxel, Asus, Aruba Networks, D-Link, NEC, TP-Link, and Ubiquiti.
My last job was working for a company that provided full IAM automation for the K-12 education industry. It was my job to pull accounts from the district's HR system and Student Information System (SIS) databases and perform Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) operations to standardize their data with SQL Server Integration Services. I would then pass that data through our software (Enboard by Encore Technology Group) by writing a C# extension, and finally through Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM) and into Active Directory. I used PowerShell, C#, SQL, and Excel all day long to get the client's data precisely how they want it.
I have also worked on Microsoft's Identity Access Management (IAM) team. I was a member of a 5-person team that was on-call 24/7 to provide T3 support (world-wide) for their entire Active Directory environment. This team was the only outside contractor with Enterprise Admin rights over their whole Active Directory environment.
Other skills include website building using HTML, CSS, Php, MySQL, including building the webservers with IIS and Linux Apache web stack.
My passion is technology, and I am dedicated 100% to owning my job and take pride in a system that runs perfectly 99.9% of the time! I am looking for a home and not a resume builder. I want to be your guy for as long as you will have me!
